Trainee Traffic Installation Technician Gloucestershire, United Kingdom (On-site)
Telent is looking for a Trainee Traffic Installation Technician to join our Traffic Signals / Traffic Lighting team in Gloucestershire. This is a field-based role requiring a full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the region in all weather conditions.
Ideal candidates will have some electrical installations knowledge or experience, or hold an Electrical Engineering diploma/certificate. We offer an accredited training program to develop your skills and help you start a career in traffic signal installation and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
* Work with experienced Traffic Engineers to install, maintain, and test traffic signals and electrical components.
* Participate in on-the-job, desk-based, and online training to achieve NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in Highways Electrical Installations, along with sector-specific certifications.
Candidate Requirements:
* Interest in field-based engineering, preferably with some electrical experience or education.
* Motivated to learn and problem-solve.
* Hold a full UK driving license.
* Good communication skills and computer literacy.
* Willing to undertake drug and alcohol testing as required.
