Their IT Services Team plays a pivotal role in supporting the schools operations, encompassing over 1900 students and 300+ staff members across both King Jamess School and Boroughbridge High School. As part of their IT Apprenticeship programme, youll work with a skilled, friendly, and supportive team, gaining invaluable experience in managing and supporting IT systems in a dynamic, modern educational environment.
They are seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious candidate to join their vibrant ICT Services team. As an IT Apprentice, you will work across both schools, providing vital support for a wide range of IT systems. The role is designed to offer you a practical learning experience alongside professional IT training, with the opportunity to gain a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician qualification.
Youll assist in managing their IT systems, including a Microsoft-based environment, Hyper-V servers, Office 365, Apple iPads, and a variety of other educational technologies. Additionally, you'll help with the maintenance of computer suites, technical support for staff and students, and assisting with our Distance Learning provision.
In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day on the Job:
Provide IT support for both King Jamess School and Boroughbridge High School, ensuring a seamless user experience for students and staff.
Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and networks.
Help with troubleshooting technical issues and resolve them efficiently.
Assist in managing IT resources, including hardware, software, and networking solutions.
Work with the IT Services team to maintain and update the schools' IT infrastructure.
Provide support for the Distance Learning environment, helping to ensure a high-quality experience for remote learning.
Offer help desk support via online Helpdesk systems, responding to and managing tickets.
Assist in the deployment and maintenance of student and staff devices, including desktops, laptops, and iPads
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
£24,027-£25,183 per annum
28 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays) with access to additional staff benefits.

Must be able to travel between both school sites (access to your own vehicle is essential).
Grade 4/C in Maths and a Grade 5/C in English at GCSE is required for this role.
