Mechanical design engineer

They are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who can work effectively as part of an experienced engineering team. The role will involve the mechanical design of small retrofit camera systems through to large industrial automation machinery.

Please note this role is fully on-site so suitable applicants must be willing to commute to Harwell, Didcot Monday to Friday.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Create mechanical designs and schematics for industrial automation systems. Encompassing concepts, drawings and schematics within SolidWorks under the guidance of the Design Manager.
2. Complete pneumatic designs inclusive of concepts, drawings and schematics.
3. Specify components for industrial automation systems.
4. Create renders of machines and concepts for sales and marketing.
5. Create drawings to all relevant worldwide Standards as directed by the Design Manager.
6. Develop an understanding of industrial automation and vision engineering.
