We are seeking an experienced Electro Mechanical Engineer to analyze and solve complex issues within our clients products. This role involves working with mechanical, electronic, and software components to identify and address performance problems encountered in the field, lab, and manufacturing processes. You will conduct thorough analyses, including reviewing technical documents, examining parts, and performing experiments to pinpoint root causes.
Responsibilities:
* Analyze the interaction of mechanical, electronic, and software components to troubleshoot device issues.
* Solve complex problems autonomously, considering the trade-offs between software, hardware, and manufacturing process changes.
* Collaborate with Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs) to implement design and process improvements, focusing on component obsolescence, specification gaps, and enhancing product reliability.
* Document technical decisions and solutions, ensuring clear communication with internal teams and external partners.
* Assist the R&D team in developing and improving research equipment.
Requirements:
* MSc/MEng in engineering (e.g., Systems, Biomedical, Mechatronics, Electronics) or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in a regulated industry with a focus on quality systems (e.g., ISO 13485).
* Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Altium) for electromechanical designs.
* Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on troubleshooting experience with laboratory instrumentation.
* Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Experience with embedded software development (preferably C) and hardware design is a plus.
* Familiarity with sensors, motors, pneumatics, and data-logging components is desirable.
* Experience working with external technical teams is beneficial.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment and enjoys making impactful contributions to innovative technology.
