Quality Control Lead
Role Context:
The primary role of the Quality Lead is to manage the quality department and engineering requirements within the business. The Quality Lead will offer expert knowledge in all aspects of quality, with a focus on welding.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the team of QC Inspectors, ensuring compliance and appropriate coverage for fabrication work.
2. Manage a quality system certified to ISO9001 and ISO 3834-2 within fabrication, engineering workshop, and site construction environments.
3. Produce project-specific fabrication inspection test records after reviewing client specifications, drawings, and Quality Plans.
4. Act as the company's Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC), reviewing requirements and ensuring welding procedures meet project needs.
5. Ensure all project-specific final fabrication inspection test reports (DPI, PMI, Hydrostatic Test, Dimensional Reports, etc.) are accurate and complete.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Extensive knowledge of fabrication industries, including pipework, steelwork, and metalwork.
2. Experience in inspection and testing within fabrication and welding environments.
3. Experience as an RWC in similar fabrication settings.
4. Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO9001, BS EN 1090, ISO 3834-2.
5. Hold a valid CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector qualification or CSWIP 3.1 with the intent to qualify as CSWIP 3.2 Senior Inspector.
