Job Purpose The High Needs and Sufficiency Commissioning Teamhas identified a need for additional specialist capacity to ensure that services commissioned from independent providers are achieving the best outcomes and getting the best value for money, with a particular focus on packages that are jointly funded withNorfolkand Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB) and/orare considered to behigh cost. This role will play a key part in providing specialisthealthknowledge and expertise (in physical and mental health)toidentify potentially unmet health needs andinform future commissioning decisions. The post holder will reviewindividual packages of care and make recommendations on whether provision is meeting individual childrens needs and supporting outcomes in the most effective way, factoring in both quality and cost ofprovision. They will work with Access to Resources and Commissioning Co-ordinators to negotiate packages of care where efficiencies are identified. The post holder will not be undertaking direct work with children and young people, but will liaise with providers, children, young people and families to facilitate creative commissioning where current provision is not meeting need.Other Job Information Youmaybe expected to travel as part ofyournormal duties within Norfolk and, on some occasions, outside of Norfolk and will be responsible foryourown transport arrangements to fulfil the requirements of the role.
