Howard Finley Care is searching for an experienced Clinical Nurse Trainer to bring fresh new skills and knowledge within a medium sized nursing home. We are looking for an experienced senior nurse with a teaching qualification, who is keen to pursue a new role with one of the leading care providers for Dementia and Elderly care within the Worthing area.

* Take responsibility for all internal clinical training matters, in liaison with HR and Chief Nurse, to identify any gaps or shortfall in practical or theoretical skills or experience.
* Identify the cause and effect of the training need and secure a solution that can be applied across individuals or groups as appropriate.
* Undertake training personally and adapt it to an internal audience together with planned outcomes and benefits for service users.
* Deliver training sessions, practical hands-on experiences, and modules that colleagues can undertake remotely online or in face-to-face sessions on our premises.
* Liaise with training providers, including universities, to alert them to any identified gaps that might result in risk should their students commence work with real-live patients.
* Spend time on the wards and in the accompanying clinical services to observe how our teams work together as well as individuals, to find improvements and training solutions.
* Be responsible for ensuring the operational delivery of a high-quality clinical multidisciplinary service by adding expert skills, information, and guidance.
* Be jointly accountable for the effective clinical management of residents, ensuring that the needs of the residents and service users are placed at the centre of care delivery.
* Undertake assessments of clinical colleagues and record progress against agreed training plans.
* Ensure the workforce meets the clinical, physical, and psychological needs of residents and service users.
* Work in close partnership with the Senior Nursing Team to translate CQC standards into effective work-based outcomes.

* NMC (RGN/RMNH/HCPC - OT/Physiotherapy registration)
* Leadership - displays positive emotional intelligence in the management of people, teams, and tasks.
* Willing and able to take on clinical tasks as and when required and demonstrate them to others.
* Change Management - understands change management principles and how to apply them to implement change while maintaining engagement and minimising disruptions.
* Planning - can form timely and cogent plans taking account of detailed operational issues, risks, and benefits; mitigates risks effectively.
* Implementation - implements improvements or changes in a timely and effective manner and manages expectations, auditing change for efficacy.
* Professional - remains calm under pressure; preserves resident and home confidentiality; displays a positive view of individuals' unique needs and abilities; has knowledge and experience of Liberty Protection Safeguards and Mental Capacity Act (MCA).
