Beginner-friendly workshop in Glasgow City Centre. Introduction to wax carving and the lost wax casting method. Design & make your own ring.
Ever wondered how to wax carve a ring or wanted to dive into the magical world of jewellery making? Join us for a relaxed and inspiring jewellery making class in Glasgow!
Held on the last Saturday of every month, our wax carving jewellery course welcomes everyone—from curious beginners to those with a little experience under their belt.
Hosted in the AOK Studio, these intimate wax carving classes guide you through the process of creating your own wearable masterpiece. You'll learn about different types of wax, get hands-on with wax carving tools, and explore the centuries-old craft of lost wax casting—turning your designs into solid silver or even gold.
Led by Annie, an experienced jeweller with over five years of craftsmanship and a passion for sustainable practices, you’ll gain insight into eco-conscious jewellery making while learning practical techniques. Whether you're carving for fun or dreaming of starting your own creative journey, this class is designed to leave you feeling confident and inspired.
At the end of the workshop, your wax design will be sent to one of the UK’s finest casters to be transformed into metal. Annie will then professionally polish your piece, ensuring it’s ready to wear when it’s returned to you—a ring as unique as you are.
