Weare looking to recruit a Preconstruction Project/Bid Manager tojoin our Bristol team. Reporting to our Preconstruction Manager thesuccessful candidate will demonstrate true leadership and managethe delivery of successful bids on time within budget and to thehighest quality ensuring our customers expectations are met andwherever possibleexceeded.
Witha proven track record of successful projects you will beresponsible for leading both single and twostage tenders forprojects ranging in value from 10m to 80m across a range of sectorsincluding Homes Education Leisure Commercial Blue Light and Health.At Willmott Dixon we operate through several frameworks allowingfor a greater probability of seeing your hard work come tolife.
Asa Preconstruction Project Manager you will be responsiblefor:
* Motivatingand leading a bid team that includes both internal (estimatorsdesign professionals MEP professionals bid writers and planners)and often external (supply chain and consultants)resource
* Coordinatinginception workshops with our customers and use your provenlistening skills to ensure we truly understand our customers Whygaining vital information that will enable your bid team to go theextramile
* Managingthe customers expectations through informal and formal healthchecks adopting a professional and considerate approach to maintaingood workingrelations
* Developingand incorporating project strategies to achieve the company ssustainabilityobjectives
* Ensuringregular monitoring and reporting on progress managing potentialrisks and opportunities and instigating preemptive and correctiveactions asrequired
* Maintainingcontinuous professional development of yourself and your team toensure appropriate technical awareness implementing best practiceand driving continuousimprovement
* Maintaininga one team approach throughout to create a seamless transition frompreconstruction tooperations
Requirements

Forthis multifaceted role you will need proven experienceof:
Proven leadership skills
Excellent time management and planningskills
Communicationskills
A technical understandingof complex construction schemes from an operations designcommercial or preconstructionbackground
Experience ofdelivering outstanding customer and stakeholder service andmanagement
Desirableskills:
A construction related degree
CIOB membership or equivalent
Experience of working on bids in the constructionsector
