DIRECTOR OF PASTORAL CARE
Required as soon as possible until August 2026 - Fixed Term
Band 9: £42,708 to £45,718 (scp 33 to 36)
(Actual: £23,171for working 21.75 hours per week, 42 weeks)
To work 3 days per week (i.e. 21.75 hours): Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Term time plus 3 weeks, and able to work flexibly to meet college needs
We are looking to appoint a Director of Pastoral Care to join the team managing pastoral care across the college to enable all pupils, including those who may be exhibiting behavioural or attendance problems, to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will assist the Deputy Headteacher, Behaviour and Attitudes, with safeguarding matters across the college, and take an operational lead on behaviour and well-being and improving school attendance.
We are looking for candidates who have:
Experience (minimum of 3 years) in a similar role, working in an education setting
Experience of working with children/young people with additional needs and their families
Knowledge of the barriers to learning
Knowledge of safeguarding legislation
Candidates must be available to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week, during term time.
