Grounds Maintenance and Street Cleansing Manager

£280.29 per day PAYE or £350 per day limited paid via Umbrella Company inside IR35
Our client is looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance and Street Cleansing Manager for a 12 month maternity cover. We are seeking a full-time Team Manager to oversee the operational management of some of the Council's public realm facilities and contracts, including Parks and open spaces, Street Cleansing, and Cemeteries. This role is perfect for a candidate who enjoys variety and managing relationships.
You will be managing an established and knowledgeable team of officers and working with our contractors to help deliver Cleaner and Greener Services to our Borough.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage six highly experienced team members
2. Ensure the Health and Safety of our parks and open spaces is maintained in conjunction with our contractors
3. Provide expert advice to Councillors, senior managers, and residents
4. Undertake and progress existing projects in line with our Climate Emergency Action Plan
5. Stay updated with current legislation and government changes
6. Train and coach colleagues on the team, including new colleagues and cross-training within the team, as well as attendance at relevant meetings
Candidate Requirements:
1. Experience of working in an office environment
2. A commitment to embracing change
3. The ability to interpret, extract, and assess important information
4. The ability to work with volume and be accurate
5. Customer service ethos, striving to continually improve
6. The ability to work on their own initiative and take ownership, as well as work as part of a team
7. Work with colleagues to achieve service performance targets
