Job Description
The Consultancy Group are currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior IT Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimising IT procurement processes, with a particular focus on enhancing supplier risk management and ensuring compliance with all regulations. As a strategic thinker with a proven track record in IT Procurement, contract management, and building strong internal and supplier relationships, you will contribute significantly to advancing procurement processes throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Lead the development and implementation of the Supplier Risk Management Strategy and Framework, including Phase 1 Supplier Risk Management.
* Establish governance and oversight structures for IT suppliers, encompassing supplier due diligence, risk assessments, and compliance audits.
* Serve as the custodian of the Supplier Management Policy and support procurement excellence processes and systems adoptable across all departments.
* Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, cost efficiencies, and enhancement of existing supplier relationships and services.
* Support the continued development of a Technology Procurement Catalogue in close collaboration with product teams.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including product, digital, IT, and finance teams.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline procurement processes, identifying optimal procurement solutions as needed.
* Provide strategic procurement expertise and guidance to other departments as required.
* Analyse market trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and negotiate favourable terms with vendors.
* Oversee contract management, ensuring timely execution, performance reviews, and compliance with agreed terms.
* Create a Supplier Management Procedure document (handbook) with essential controls, in collaboration with the centralised workstream.
* Develop an operating model, RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) matrix, and resource plan.
* Deliver executive-level reporting of supplier KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and KRIs (Key Risk Indicators).
* Coordinate due diligence during supplier onboarding and ensure continuous supplier assurance by tracking and monitoring third-party risks.
* Act as custodian, super user, and advocate for the source-to-pay solution, exploring the benefits of procurement technology to improve processes.
* Provide strategic procurement expertise and support to various departments across the organisation as needed.
Essential Skills:
* Strong understanding of technology and IT applications, with awareness of the latest technology trends and market developments.
* Extensive experience in negotiation, supplier management, and contract management.
* Proven experience in presenting to senior business and technology stakeholders.
* Ability to build and sustain effective communication with project stakeholders.
* Strong commercial acumen with robust risk management and mitigation abilities.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements within the financial services sector.
* Methodical approach with exceptional attention to detail and precision.
* Clear and effective communication skills across all organisational levels.
Desirable Skills:
* Additional certifications in procurement, risk management, or supplier relationship management.
* Experience with procurement technology, such as P2P, S2P, and ERP tools.
