Job Title: Business Development Manager

Salary: £28,000, plus £4000 Car Allowance
Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving growth and excellence by leading, training, and managing a team of self-employed sales estimators aligned with regional branch locations. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, this position will work collaboratively with branch managers, fitters, and central function teams to ensure outstanding customer experiences and adherence to best practices.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate their team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Management
o Recruit, train, and develop Sales Estimators to ensure they have the skills and tools to succeed.
o Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to the team, fostering a high-performance culture.
o Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and address areas for improvement.
2. Sales Performance & Target Achievement
o Develop and execute strategies to achieve personal and team sales targets.
o Monitor sales data, analyse performance trends, and implement plans to address gaps.
o Support Sales Estimators in delivering accurate quotes and closing sales effectively.
3. Customer Experience & Best Practice
o Ensure all customer interactions reflect the highest standards of professionalism and care.
o Promote a customer-first mindset across the team, ensuring excellent service delivery.
o Uphold and implement best practices across all sales processes and customer interactions.
4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
o Work closely with branch managers to align sales strategies with local business objectives.
o Collaborate with fitters and central function teams to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
o Share insights and feedback to inform broader business strategies and initiatives.
5. Operational Planning & Reporting
o Create and manage a structured plan for team activities and sales initiatives.
o Produce regular reports for the Head of Sales, detailing performance metrics and action plans.
o Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
