Semi Senior Accountant
Affinia is recruiting for an Accounts Semi-Senior to join the Accounts department in Orpington, Kent. The role will involve working to deliver a broad range of accounts services to our business clients. This opportunity would suit a part qualified individual who is looking to progress their career and study towards an ACCA or ACA qualification. Alternatively, the role would be suitable to an individual who is not studying but who has a strong practice background.
Accountabilities:
* Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for a mix of Sole Traders, partnerships, LLPs and Limited Companies
* Preparation of basic corporation tax returns
* Assist with review/preparation of VAT returns
* Assisting clients with queries
* Supporting the more junior members of the team in accounts & bookkeeping work.
* Collaboratively working with other departments within our group.
* Assisting Directors / managers with ad hoc projects.
* Additional responsibilities as and when identified in association with expectations of the role.
Skills/Qualifications:
* Certificate/foundation level of ACA/ACCA completed
* Proven 2 years+ practice experience
* Experienced individual who can prepare sole trader, partnership and Limited Company accounts for Manager review
* Strong IT/Microsoft abilities
* A professional approach with the ability to communicate with clients both via email & over phone/face to face.
* Possess full driving licence with own/access to car
* Familiar with CCH, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero (desirable)
