HCMUK are excited to announce this rewarding opportunity for a skilled and dedicated individual to join us as Field Service Engineer in the Bristol area! As a vital member of our team, this individual will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of plant machinery.

Responsibilities:
1. Troubleshoot and fault find any defects on machines and carry out repairs as necessary.
2. Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint problems accurately.
3. Analyse symptoms reported by operators and apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
4. Conduct maintenance and repairs at customer sites on various models of Hitachi machinery.
5. Identify and replace faulty parts, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
6. Carry out routine servicing to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.
7. Ensure that service reports, time sheets etc. are completed correctly and submitted on time.
8. Generate digital reports outlining equipment condition, repair history, and recommendations.
9. Reporting any warranty issues promptly.
10. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
11. Promote safe work practices and behaviours among team members.
12. Promote the use of PPE among team members.
13. Engage with customers to understand their maintenance requirements, concerns, and priorities.
14. Keep customers informed about status of maintenance activities and any delays or issues.
15. Ensure that work is carried out to the highest standard and on time.
16. Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and safety.
17. Maintaining safety, cleanliness and general housekeeping of company vehicle.
18. Liaising with Service Controller’s and Product Support Managers throughout the day to provide updates on repair progress and equipment status.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Experienced time served Mobile Field Service Engineer.
* Excellent diagnostic and reporting skills and show good attention to detail.
* Proven track record working on modern Hydraulic Excavators and Wheel loaders.
* Experienced in troubleshooting modern hydraulic systems and diesel engines.
* Ability to work under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve issues.
* Excellent IT skills required with a good ability to analyse fault code data.
Preferred
* Previous experience working within an OEM dealership.
* Experience working on large size mobile earthmoving equipment in a quarry environment.
* Quarry and Safety passport holder.
* IPAF card holder.
* CSCS card holder.
