Administrator - Reception and Central Admin
Actual salary: £23,345
37 hours per week, Term Time Only (39 weeks per year) - 08:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 to 15:30 on Friday.
We also have the option of part time hours available (08:00 - 13:00 Monday to Friday), please specify if you are interested in the full time or part time position within your application.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and engaging person to join our busy and highly effective Central Admin Team as an Administrator.
As an Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support across the college and act as a central supporting role for staff, students their parents/carers and visitors. You will work with other members of the Central Administration Team to uphold the vision and ethos of the college at all times, representing the college in a welcoming, personable, helpful, and professional manner.
You will work across the college as required, providing excellent administrative and customer services to a variety of stakeholders, establishing and maintaining efficient administrative systems and processes to support the effective running of the college with a focus on operational excellence. This is a busy and varied role with key duties including:
Covering reception and providing an excellent front of house service to all staff, students and visitors;
Answering incoming calls and messages in a professional, friendly and efficient manner;
Efficiently manage filing, databases and systems, ensuring full compliance with GDPR;
Provide comprehensive administration support to our curriculum and student services teams;
Provide general clerical and administrative support for the college e.g. photocopying, filing, emailing, reprographics etc.
Covering our Learning Resource Centre and supporting students with queries in accessing IT systems and the library catalogue.
It is essential that the person for this role is organised, able to multitask, work flexibly and have a ‘can do’ approach. You will also assist with general day to day admin tasks which therefore require a good level of IT skills. This is a fast paced and busy environment so the ability to work effectively under pressure, often to tight deadlines, is essential, as is excellent attention to detail.
