Process Operator

Location: We have opportunities for Process Operators in the Northallerton, Malton, Pickering, Thirsk and Kirby Moorside areas. Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance.
Work type: Permanent. You will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday within a 07:00 to 18:00 window, with some out-of-hours and weekend work as required.

We provide essential water and wastewater services to over 5.4 million people in Yorkshire, ensuring clean and safe drinking water and effective wastewater management.
Where you fit in:
As a Process Operator, you will work with an operational team to deliver exceptional performance, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving customer satisfaction. You will undertake site visits to ensure our critical assets meet compliance standards.
Your duties will include:
* Reacting to RTS alarms and pollution incidents.
* Gathering evidence at suspected pollution incidents.
* Lifting, checking, and unblocking pumps.
* Taking samples, examining results, and troubleshooting issues.
* Raising follow-on work for internal support services.
What skills, experience, and training you will need:
* Practical mindset and comfort working outdoors in all weathers.
* Ability to work alone and as part of a team, with good time management skills.
* Comfortable questioning unsafe practices and reporting to management.
* Good problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
* Experience using IT systems (e.g., Word) for capturing site information.
* A full valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
This role requires occasional work in confined spaces, necessitating successful completion of a medical performed by our Occupational Health Department.
