The Manor House Roundhay is our brand new 65-bed, state-of-the-art care home, set to open in October 2024.
As Head Housekeeper, you will ensure the cleanliness of our luxurious and meticulously finished care home, The Manor House Roundhay. You will supervise a team of Housekeepers, ensuring high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, including large bedroom suites with private en-suite wet rooms, impressive dining areas, hairdressing and beauty salons, as well as our café bar and other communal spaces.
Reporting into the Home Manager, responsibilities will include:
1. Supervising a team of 2 Housekeepers
2. Ensuring the environment is clean, pleasant, and safe for residents in their rooms and communal areas
3. Managing cleaning products effectively, following instructions and health and safety procedures
Desired knowledge & experience:
* Previous cleaning experience preferred
* Safe use of cleaning products
* Knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment, e.g., carpet cleaners
* Understanding of data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding vulnerable adults
* Health & safety awareness, including COSHH
* Organized with good time management
* Strong interpersonal, empathy, and friendly skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to prioritize and plan around resident needs
