Family time sessions support the maintenance of positive relationships between a child and their non- resident family members wherever possible. Parents supported practically and emotionally to make supervised Family time sessions a positive experience wherever possible. About the Role Responsible for : To supervise family time between looked after children and their parents. This will include families where care proceedings are ongoing and staff will need to be sensitive to these issues, offering appropriate support to children and their parents. Reports to be made of the observations and social work staff to be contacted as required. To record information in a professional manner. To attend supervisory meetings, team meetings and training as required. To carry out duties within the Centre in accordance with health and safety regulations. To liaise with other professionals and report any concerns or safeguarding issues that arise when carrying out these duties. Please refer to the Job Description attached for more information. Job Activities : Greet parents, children and their carers and create a positive environment which will support the contact between parents and their children ensuring good information is available for the family. To talk to parents about the contact service and agreement forms to be signed. To obtain feedback from service users to ensure continued development and improvement of the service.
