We're looking for an Engineering Manager to manage a team of software engineers in the Core Server tribe in Platform Services. Core Server is truly at the heart of Anaplan, and is where our core calculation engines are situated (Classic and Polaris).
This role is for a lead of a team who own Core Performance (Team Morbo), who are a critical part of how we validate performance in production (both prior to a build being deployed, as well as optimizing production performance itself).
Your Impact
* Leading the team to deliver value to their customers (either internal engineering teams or external customers of Anaplan).
* Coaching and developing both junior engineers as well as senior engineers.
* Caring for your team and advocating for them and their wellbeing, ensuring individuals take time for themselves.
* An agile mindset, happy to trial new ways of working and retrospect on those.
* Being open and honest with capacity constraints and having potentially difficult conversations about priorities.
* Reporting blockers and risks as soon as they’re visible.
Your Qualifications
You have experience leading or mentoring engineers, either as a manager or a senior engineer. You care passionately about the wellbeing and engagement of the people in your team. You like to coach and take pride in developing the talent in your team. You see the pastoral care of your team as being one of your key functions. Although this is not a hands-on engineering role, you will need a strong background in software engineering. You are a natural communicator and build productive relationships with stakeholders and peers.
