The jobholder will ensure both the implementation and compliance with relevant Legislation, British and European Standards and the Business Code of Practice. The jobholder will identify improvement opportunities in maintenance & inspection processes using best practice and the most cost-effective solutions to achieve short and long-term goals. The jobholder will be able to communicate with the other site engineers to ensure they have maintenance plans in place to cover all aspects of compliance with all laws, regulations, company policies and guidance and any external resource is planned and completed in a timely manner. Manage the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure department engineers understand best practice, and that the job catalogue is suitable and covers all aspects of statutory and mandatory inspection and maintenance. Manage the business statutory reporting system (Prime) to ensure all assets are registered and have the correct reports and inspection regimes in place. Produce regular reports to show the level of compliance across the specified areas, they will be able to investigate reasons around any overdue or outstanding inspections or remedial work. Keep up to date with any changes to current legislation and communicate these to other engineers. Manage and coordinate contractors to service and maintain equipment & systems across the business. Requirements of the Compliance Engineer The jobholder will be an experienced engineer, ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent with a detailed knowledge of their appropriate engineering discipline and with a working knowledge of other disciplines. It is essential that the jobholder will be experienced in all aspects of man-management and the safe execution of work. They will have a proven ability of being self-motivated and a good communicator at levels. Effective man manager with the necessary leadership skills to motivate a diverse workforce. Strong Drive, Motivation and Commitment The post holder should have good analytical skills and the ability to assimilate, organise and analyse pertinent information for logic-based problem solving. Ability to meet deadlines. Able to communicate in clear concise manner, both in writing and orally, communicating honestly, clearly, and directly, making effective use of communication technology. Computer literate with practical experience of maintenance management systems Project management skills. A team worker, with a flexible approach to work. Managing People: contractors effectively to optimise productivity and quality of work.
