We are seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Baby Room Leader.
Our setting operates from a single story building, located in Gonerby Hill Foot, Grantham. The building consists of a 6 place baby room and a combined 24 place Toddler and Preschool room, both rooms with access to their own nursery garden.
You will work closely with other Early Years Practitioners and have overall responsibility to lead your team to provide outstanding care, teaching, and learning. You will receive support from our existing leadership and management team.
You must be passionate about achieving the best outcomes for individual children and have a thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and The Characteristics of Effective Learning; using these to observe, track, and assess individual progress, as well as extend children's learning to support progression.
We are looking for someone with experience as well as knowledge, therefore someone who has already led within a nursery is desirable. Additionally, you will need to be a collaborative worker in order to work closely with and lead other members of our team.
Experience and Role Requirements
* Level 3 qualified in Early Years Education (essential)
* Have a minimum of 2 years experience working as a Level 3 practitioner and Key worker
* Have a thorough knowledge of the EYFS statutory requirements and awareness of Key Safeguarding themes.
* Confident in leading a small team and organizing termly stay and play events for parents and relatives of the children in our care
* Support the Manager and Deputy Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery
* Provide children with a safe, secure, and stimulating environment
* Offer a stimulating and varied program of play and learning opportunities in line with the EYFS framework to meet the needs of the children within their age group
* Manage your team effectively, set team goals, and monitor the achievement of progress against targets.
* Fulfill legal and statutory requirements and supervise staff on a daily basis.
* Monitor and assess the quality of provision within your room, ensuring that policies and procedures, best practices, and standards are maintained.
* Communicate and liaise with parents/carers professionally.

Pay: Up to £12.60 per hour
