We require a full-time Store Manager for our business Preet & Preet Stratford Limited located in the wider Taranaki region. As a Store Manager with our business, you will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing and controlling the day-to-day running of the whole store.
We offer:
1. Hours of work - Minimum 40 hours per week
2. Pay rate - $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
The tasks and duties include but are not limited to the following:
1. Be responsible for organizing and controlling the overall business operations.
2. Undertake staff recruitment, training, and supervision for smooth operations of the business.
3. Emphasis on complying with Sales of Liquor Act and its implications.
4. Manage all the operations within the store.
5. Handle customer inquiries and complaints: greet and advise customers.
6. Liaise with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities, and sales representatives.
7. Control and organize the stock to ensure that the business maintains sufficient stock and products to meet promotions and customer demand.
8. Be responsible for all security aspects of the business and ensure the correct process and procedures are followed by all staff.
9. Focus on the pricing strategies of the store and set the prices for the product.
10. Developing and executing policies required for the store’s success.
11. Prepare and monitor budgets monthly with the view to analysing any variance and taking appropriate action to improve store profits and develop business strategies.
12. Undertake and execute store promotion and advertising activities.
13. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Role requirements:
1. 2 years minimum experience in the retail sector.
2. A qualification in business or management is advantageous.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Strong leadership as well as motivational skills.
5. The successful applicant will have to be prepared to work weekends and evenings if required.
6. Must have a Liquor Controller Qualification (LCQ) and Manager’s Certificate.
