Job Description:
As a Site Services Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the functionality of our buildings, fabric, and ancillary equipment. Working closely with contractors and team members, you will ensure the site operates efficiently and meets all health and safety standards. The Site Services Technician will handle planned maintenance, timely repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the success of our engineering and site performance targets.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Conducting planned and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is fully operational.
2. Collaborating with contractors and the wider team to address breakdowns and implement long-term solutions.
3. Performing daily checks, including start-up, shutdown, and line patrols.
4. Managing site effluent operations and ensuring compliance with environmental permits.
5. Carrying out tasks such as plumbing, decorating, basic electrical works, and fabrication.
6. Identifying areas for improvement and supporting the implementation of action plans.
7. Logging all activities and temporary repairs through the CMMS system.
Skills & Experience:
We are looking for a Site Services Technician with the following:
Essential:
1. Right to work in the UK.
2. Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
3. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
4. Basic IT/PC skills and literacy.
5. Experience in food handling or production lines (preferred).
Desirable:
1. Apprenticeship or equivalent technical background (Level 2 NVQ or similar).
2. Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.
3. Knowledge of preventative maintenance and repair techniques.
