Now Education are delighted to be working in partnership with Manchester College who require an Employability Partnerships Coordinator to start asap and continue until the end of December. The end date is subject to review and the can be a possibly be extended as part of an on-going contract whilst the college recruits full time positions. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the employer partnerships team to administrate their existing placement opportunities from the breadth of stakeholders that they already work with. If possible, coordinators would also look to source work placements opportunities for students, including larger Industry Placements for T-Level students. As part of the role, you could also be supporting and liaising with curriculum departments to achieve their targets for industry placement and work experience in preparation of the T Level implementation. You will also be expected to support the students with any preparation they may need for their placement such as applications, mock interviews and CV writing, along with actual visits whilst the students are on placement. Coordinators can be asked to work across multiple campuses. The Manchester College have got various sites across Greater Manchester: Openshaw campus City Centre campus Harpurhey campus Wythenshawe campus Shena Simon campus. Candidates must be prepared to travel to each site and also to employer premises when requested. You would normally be based at a particular campus for the entire day unless an employer has requested a visit. The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and have experience of the following: • Experience of delivering qualifications, education or employability sessions. • Experience of delivering group work sessions as well as working on a 1-2-1 basis with participants. • Experience of developing external relationships with employers and other agencies. • Experience of utilising computerised management information systems. • Experience of working to targets, implementing monitoring and recording systems. • Experience of delivering programmes that are focussed on soft skills, mentoring and employability. You will be passionate about the transformative effects of education for young people and have the ability to build positive and proactive relationships with the young people you work with.
