The Business Development Executive role is centered on contributing to the Sales Team's sales targets by proactively responding to incoming sales inquiries, generating new business opportunities, and supporting existing customers to encourage increased lifetime spend. The role involves offering professional and knowledgeable advice about training and learning solutions with the aim of maximizing the value of sales and overall customer satisfaction.
The Day-to-Day:
On a daily basis, the successful candidate will:
1. Build relationships with prospects and clients to understand short- and long-term opportunities while driving additional spend.
2. Generate new business through cold and warm sales nurture activities.
3. Advise customers on the best products and services to suit their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct/Inbound Sales
1. Act as the first point of contact for inbound sales inquiries via phone and a shared email inbox.
2. Quickly and effectively respond to sales opportunities to provide high levels of customer satisfaction.
3. Explore immediate and future opportunities early in the sales cycle to identify additional revenue streams.
4. Manage a triage system to ensure existing customers and prospects are directed to the most appropriate consultant or support lead.
5. Work to an income target between £150,000-£250,000.
Customer Growth and Engagement
1. Engage with customers digitally to ensure products and services continue to meet their needs.
2. Build strong, personable relationships with customers based on trust and credibility.
3. Identify opportunities for customers to increase their investment in training, learning, and development solutions.
4. Review customer data in the CRM to create targeted growth lists and plan engagement activities.
5. Re-engage with lapsed or former customers to introduce new products and services.
Customer Support and Service Delivery
1. Gather and communicate all necessary setup and implementation requirements with internal teams.
2. Provide recommendations for process improvements across both support and sales processes.
Learning Technology Advice
1. Maintain a detailed understanding of the company's services, products, and packages delivered to customers.
