Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker or Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) looking for an exciting new opportunity? Tameside is seeking committed professionals to join our newly formed team, working alongside Community Mental Health Teams, the Living Well service, and the Early Intervention Team. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with moderate to severe mental health needs while contributing to the development and growth of our evolving service.

AMHP Opportunities & Allowance: If you are not yet an AMHP, we will support you in working towards this qualification. If you are already an AMHP, you will participate in our AMHP rota (approximately 2 duties per month) and receive an extra allowance per shift.
Your Role:
As a Mental Health Social Worker, you will:
1. Coordinate, commission, and deliver individual care and social support packages.
2. Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to support individuals with complex mental health needs.
3. Ensure the Council’s obligations under the Care Act and other statutory responsibilities are met.
4. Support young people transitioning from children’s services to adult mental health services.
About You
1. A must: qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in adult social care and mental health practice.
2. A must: current driving licence and vehicle.
