We are currently seeking a diligent and proactive Sampling / Warehouse Assistant to join our client’s friendly & dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the maintenance and management of their sample inventory, ensuring that all samples are accurately logged, put away correctly and the warehouse, and dispatched to their customers. You will also ensure office supplies are ordered and replenished, and couriers booked as required.
We are looking for a proactive team player with excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to adapt to various tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will be computer literate, and will need to be physically fit due to the active nature of this role. Key responsibilities for this Sampling / Warehouse Assistant role:
* Manage and maintain samples inventory in both office and storage areas, ensuring organisation and accessibility at all times
* Efficiently pick, record, and dispatch sample requests, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to customers
* Handle the packing and shipping processes for all samples with attention to detail and adherence to quality standards
* Provide timely proof of delivery documentation as required, ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction
* Ensure the proper unpacking and labeling of incoming samples, maintaining accuracy and consistency in product identification
* Collaborate closely with the buying and sales teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of all brand products
* Perform daily and weekly housekeeping tasks to uphold cleanliness and organization in the office and warehouse environments
* Manage office supplies inventory and coordinate orders as needed to support smooth operations
* Undertake various ad hoc office duties, including liaising with contractors for office maintenance, directing incoming calls, and assisting with preparations for external meetings
Skills, experience & requirements for this role:
* Possess good written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and customers
* Proficient in general computer skills and data entry, particularly in Microsoft Office applications to efficiently handle administrative tasks
* Demonstrate a proactive “can-do” attitude and a willingness to learn
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative team spirit to foster positive working relationships
* Possess physical fitness and health, as the role involves occasional lifting of items
* Exceptional organisational skills to manage tasks and responsibilities efficiently and effectively
* Flexible approach and happy working in a warehouse environment
