Business Administrator Apprentice
Location: Tops Stonehouse, Plymouth

Salary: £6.41 per hour
Contracted Hours: 30 hours per week
About the Role
Tops Day Nurseries are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to complete their Level 3 in Business Administration during a 15-18 month Apprenticeship. This is an exciting opportunity to complete your apprenticeship within a rapidly expanding organisation. Working within the Admin department, you will help the team with various administrative duties to support the smooth running of the team. Whilst working in this role you will be working towards your Business Admin Level 3 which will be delivered onsite.

What does the role involve?
* Support the manager with photocopying; filing; distributing and sending post; refreshments; lifting and carrying equipment; trips to the post office and shops.
* Use of telephone, fax and computer.
* Prepare and print documents as requested.
* Pass on relevant information to the relevant person at Head Office.
* Attend staff meetings.
* Assist with distributing stock to nurseries and care homes.
* Good level of communication skills and deal with enquiries on the telephone while covering the main reception.
* Meeting and greeting visitors.
* Processing incoming and outgoing post.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about gaining the relevant experience, skills, and qualifications to begin their career within an office environment. Skills include:
* Self-motivated, reliable, enthusiastic, team player, and able to work effectively under pressure.
* Customer service skills and professional attitude.
* Strong Administration skills – including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Letter writing and mail merging skills.
* Organisational skills and ability to adapt to day-to-day changes.
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to communicate confidently with different levels of employees.

You will need to take this role seriously, as we are looking for someone eager to gain more responsibility throughout this apprenticeship and to progress through the business. Many of our current Head Office staff started with us as Business Admin apprentices! You must have a good level of communication skills and be confident at communicating with various levels of management within the business.
