A&P Falmouth - Steelworker / Fabricator
Home to one of the world’s largest natural deep-water harbours, A&P Falmouth’s facility is one of the largest ship-repair complexes in the UK.
We are looking for Steelworkers / Fabricators with strong craftsmanship and attention to detail to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Fabricate and assemble steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
2. Use metalworking machines such as hydraulic presses, rolls, shears, cutting torches, grinders, and drills to bend, cut, form, punch, drill or otherwise form steel/aluminium components.
3. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience as a steelworker/fabricator (welder/plater) or in a similar role, and/or familiarity with welding techniques (e.g. MMA, MIG, TIG etc.) is advantageous; training will be provided.
2. Ability to understand technical drawings.
3. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
4. Commitment to ensuring health and safety in your work.
5. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
