We are recruiting a maintenance assistant for a world class university, to be based on one of their campus locations, in South East London. This is a permanent opportunity for a multi skilled maintenance assistant to join a brilliant in house team that deliver first class maintenance services on a static site near Denmark Hill. This is a Monday - Friday role, 8-4, a 35 hour week. In addition to a starting salary of c£30,000 you will also be offered: 30 days holiday PLUS bank holidays Generous Pension scheme On going training and professional development You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance in this varied building services maintenance role. You will be supporting a team of qualified engineers and working together to ensure full compliance of building regulations. This multi skilled maintenance assistant role will include: Multi trade maintenance and planned maintenance including M&E, fire bell testing, legionella management and emergency light testing Minor fabric repairs including repairing doors, flooring and decorating Completing paperwork associated with planned maintenance promptly and to a high standard Working with relevant contractors Offering an excellent level of customer service To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Previous demonstrated maintenance/fabric experience and supporting qualifications. Commercial building services maintenance experience is essential for this role. Fabric maintenance experience and legionella management experience IT literate with experience of managing work through a CAFM system Flexible attitude and team player Good health and safety knowledge IOSH Our client prides ourselves on being inclusive and welcoming.
