POSITION SUMMARY:As an experienced Business Development Manager, you will be an individual contributor, part of a team responsible for sales growth in the UK, Europe & potentially African territories, and the achievement of maximum profitability in line with our strategic plans, vision, and values. You will develop, implement, and execute business development plans and strategies and work closely with the UK and Global Sales, Marketing, and technical Teams. You will be a strategic thinker with a passion for driving business growth and will thrive in a fast-paced environment where innovation is encouraged.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our market presence in key locations and markets in the UK, Europe, and potentially Africa.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective business development strategies.
* Analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
* Create and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
* Proven experience as a Business Development Manager within a relatable industry
* Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
* You will ideally have experience of selling tangible products and related services into one or more of the following industries:
- UK or European Telecoms.
- Electricity Transmission & Distribution.
- Oil & Gas.
- Offshore Wind.
- Hydraulic Hose Manufacture and / or Distribution.
OTHER:
* This position requires a significant amount of domestic and international travel.
* A full driving licence is required.
* A minimum education of A-Levels or higher.
