Cheshire West and Chester Council have an exciting opportunity for a Driver Attendant to join a high performing and busy in-house Passenger Fleet Transport Team. The role will require professional driving services at high standards taking children and vulnerable adults to school and day centres around the Borough.

What are we looking for?
* Excellent driving and communication skills
* A team player with the drive to provide services to very high standards.
* Flexible in approach to working hours which can vary due to operational requirements.
* Mini-bus/passenger type vehicle driving experience
* Full driving licence, with a category D1 licence
* MIDAS qualification (not essential as training can be offered)
* Some experience in customer care, ideally working with vulnerable people or in a school or health care setting
* Clean UK Driving Licence
* Experience of operating a tail lift and associated safety equipment for wheelchair access in vehicles e.g. harnesses/clamps (not essential as training can be offered)
The position is based in Rossfield Road, Ellesmere Port and the contracted hours are 30 per week (typical hours are 07.30 to 10.30 am and 2.30 to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday) during school term time and 10 hours per week (typical hours are 08.30 to 11.00 am and 3.30 to 6.00 pm for 2 days per week) during school holidays. Salary will be averaged out and paid monthly based on 24.60 hours per week every month.
