Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a dedicated Surveillance, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager to join our team under our multi-country Optimizing Surveillance project based in Kampala, Uganda.

The successful candidate will have:
1. Master’s degree in Epidemiology, public health, Statistics, international development, health informatics/information systems management or relevant discipline.
2. Extensive work experience as a senior project manager in public health research related projects, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality project outputs.
3. Proven experience in conducting desk and literature reviews, summarizing and presenting health data information in a succinct way.
4. Experience in leading ongoing data analysis for relevant use for malaria control/elimination programs, key indicators, and data visualization tools.
5. Experience in conducting qualitative research, especially key informative interviews.
6. Experience in working with key stakeholders in malaria programming in Uganda.
7. Experience working at the national level on health systems management and coordinating with both governmental (e.g., Ministry of Health) and technical partners.
8. Strong analytical skills in monitoring and evaluation of programmes and projects.
9. Extensive experience of budget management and providing financial oversight.
10. Experience in managing research - Surveillance projects.
11. Experience of working in multi-partnership arrangements within an international NGO.
12. Familiarity with statistical analysis and software packages such as STATA, R.
13. Demonstrated skills in effective verbal and written communication, particularly for technical content.
