Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT) is an integrated provider of acute hospital and community services for people living in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding area. We care for over half a million patients every year.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in neuropsychological rehabilitation as part of the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service in Buckinghamshire. CNRS is a county-wide service providing specialist multidisciplinary rehabilitation for people with neurological diagnoses. You will join a large MDT encompassing Psychology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy.
Main duties of the job
You will have the opportunity to work with people with a variety of neurological conditions, addressing cognitive, behavioural, emotional, vocational, family and relationship needs. You will also provide consultation and teaching to other health professionals and contribute to service development and evaluation.
You will receive professional support and supervision from the service Lead Clinical Neuropsychologist.

EXPERIENCE
* Assessed experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist for a minimum of four years with 2 years at a highly specialist level and at least 2 years within the field of clinical neuropsychology.
* Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and presenting with the full range of clinical severity across the full range of care settings including outpatient, community, primary care, in-patient, and residential care settings.
* Experience of working within an inter or multidisciplinary team.
* Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients’ psychological care and treatment within the context of a multidisciplinary care plan.
* Experience of teaching, training and/or professional and clinical supervision.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
* Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
* Formal post-doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology to qualify for Full Practitioner Membership of the British Psychology Society’s Division of Clinical Neuropsychology (or equivalent training/experience).
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
* Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological and neuropsychological assessment intervention and management.
* Well developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, highly technical, and clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues.
* Doctoral level knowledge of research design and methodology, including complex multivariate data analysis as practiced within the field of clinical psychology.
* Knowledge of legislation in relation to patients with neurological disorders and mental health difficulties.
* Post-doctoral level knowledge of neuropsychological practice including neuroanatomy, neurological disorders, neuropsychological assessment and neuropsychological rehabilitation.
* Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the British Psychological Society (BPS).

* Ability to travel between sites.
