A Midlands-based battery cell research and manufacturing centre is currently recruiting a Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the manufacturing process, from Electrode Manufacturing to Cell Assembly, all the way through to Module and Pack Assembly. Your expertise will help enable the industry to transition to full-scale, high-volume battery manufacturing.
The Maintenance Technician duties:
1. Responding promptly to breakdowns and providing first-line support in collaboration with the maintenance team.
2. Conducting fault finding and diagnosis across a variety of control systems.
3. Leading and supporting problem-solving activities to identify and address issues efficiently.
4. Planning and performing TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and PM (Preventive Maintenance) activities.
5. Operating production equipment in certain process streams.
6. Conducting product validation testing to ensure quality standards.
7. Taking the lead in implementing continuous improvements for equipment and processes.
8. Occasional overseas travel may be required to support FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and commissioning activities.
9. Working in a clean and dry room environment to meet the required standards.
The successful Maintenance Technician will have:
1. Ideally, you have completed an Indentured Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical or Engineering.
2. Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC/HND Level 3 or equivalent.
3. Previous experience in maintenance within a high-speed or precision environment.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
5. Familiarity with robot and automation systems.
6. Experience working in teams and leading them effectively.
