Location: Doncaster / Scunthorpe
Salary: £35-40,000 negotiable, private cash/health plan
Full-time Permanent
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8 am - 4.30 pm, Friday 8 am - 3.30 pm
Expected to assist with some early and later hours from time to time.
Position: Experienced Quality Manager
Provide clear leadership for the development of an environment focused on Quality within a reputable joinery construction manufacturing firm.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop Quality Management System, including ISO14001 / ISO 9001, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Controls Plans, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) processes.
2. Oversee continued compliance and embedding of quality processes across the business.
3. Maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to maximize profit and efficiency.
4. Manage the audit program and supplier development and improvement.
5. Work proactively with all Directors, Managers, Supervisors, and Employees to maintain a program of continual improvement.
6. Lead problem-solving methodology (Lean) and achieve quality targets for customers and business goals.
7. Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures.
8. Implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System and ensure compliance.
9. Respond to customer complaints with containment actions and implement countermeasures.
10. Update quality documentation and communicate lessons learned from quality concerns.
11. Ensure all necessary systems and procedures satisfy customer requirements and audits.
12. Train others in all aspects of the quality system and application procedures.
13. Undertake internal and process audits of the Quality Management System.
14. Lead regular inspection meetings to establish an action plan for improving build quality.
15. Produce written reports and presentations; ensure Health and Safety practices are observed.
16. Perform any other reasonable duties to assist the company in attaining its business objectives.
Requirements:
Experience working within a manufacturing environment is essential; joinery experience is an advantage. Must be positive, energetic, and able to work independently.
