Substance Use Recovery Worker

Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Substance Use Recovery Worker to join one of our clients for a 3-month contract. The site that you will work at is a service hub for people with drug and alcohol issues, mental health concerns or learning disabilities. You will be responsible to deliver excellent case management services, which will include risk assessments, recovery planning, assessment, and case reviews to a caseload of client while guaranteeing timely completion in accordance with the organisations policy. You will be required to deliver psychosocial treatment interventions in groups and on 1:2:1 basis. You'll also be required to deliver harm reduction advice including distributing clean injecting equipment though needle syringe programmes along with completing urine testing and dry blood spot testing following appropriate infection control procedures.
What you'll do:
* You would be required to perform thorough substance use evaluations, which should include determining one's own advantage and risk factors.
* Create, track, and evaluate risk assessments and risk management strategies that successfully protect service users, their families, and carers from harm.
* To collaborate with service users and other members of their support system to create person-centred recovery plans based on strengths.
* Perform effective case management of service users with substance use issues along with maintaining a high standard of case notes and prepare present narrative reports when required to do so.
* Group intervention sessions are delivered effectively; data and information about a client's treatment journey are consistently, promptly, and accurately collected, recorded, and reported.
* Provide and encourage harm reduction initiatives, such as needle exchanges and physical health care access, which includes BBV and health screenings.
* Ensuring that all documentation and recording adhere to information governance requirements and Turning Point policy and practice.

* To have substance use knowledge.
* Demonstrate skills and knowledge in assessing risk presented by clients to themselves and others.
* Experience along with relevant knowledge of effective case load management.
* Harm reduction, suicide and self-harm aware.
* Experience with working in partnership with different agencies.
* Ability to manage own time, prioritise activities and maintain accountability for your work.
* Having the relevant professional qualification is desirable.
