About our opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to act as a trusted advisor to the Regional Director - Southern region and key stakeholders, and bridge the gap between finance and operations, ensuring data-driven decisions support the success of our commercial, transport, and operational teams.
This is a fast-paced, high-impact role that goes beyond traditional finance. It requires a commercially astute professional who can analyse financial performance, identify trends, and present meaningful insights that drive efficiency and profitability. If you thrive in an environment where collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement are at the heart of success, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
What you will be doing:
In this role, you will be at the centre of financial decision-making, ensuring our teams have the insights they need to operate efficiently. You will analyse financial performance, focusing on key metrics such as volume, margins, and overheads, and translate this data into clear recommendations.
You will collaborate with teams across the business to evaluate investments and business initiatives, helping to shape decisions that have a direct impact on performance.
Beyond analysis and reporting, you will play a hands-on role in strengthening financial processes. From improving reporting capabilities to developing financial acumen across teams, you will help drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will work closely with the accounting team to ensure smooth month-end and year-end closures, while providing leadership teams with meaningful financial reports at depot, area, and regional levels.
About you:
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong financial background, ideally holding a professional accountancy or business qualification. Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similarly complex industry would be beneficial, but what truly sets you apart is your ability to generate insight and drive performance improvement. You have a natural curiosity to explore data, identify opportunities, and translate numbers into strategic actions.
Building relationships will be key to your success. You are confident in working with stakeholders at all levels, influencing decision-making, and ensuring financial considerations are embedded into business operations. Your approach is proactive and solutions-focused, always looking for ways to improve processes and add value.
This role requires someone who is not only analytical and detail-oriented but also thrives in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. You will need strong problem-solving skills, resilience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
As this role involves supporting teams across multiple locations, a full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel to depot sites will be essential.
