We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Featherstone, a category C Prison, located in Featherstone in Staffordshire.
In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours
Mon Fri: 0700 1830
Sat Sun: 0830 - 1730
There is an expectation to work 1 in 3 weekends.
This position is part-time role working 30 hours per week.
Salary
Youll receive an annual salary up to £44,000per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
1. Be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team by bringing your top-notch clinical skills and passion for care.
2. Undertake a wide variety of tasks including screening, assessments, examinations, and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency.
3. Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications required
11. Registered nurse Adult
12. Excellent communication skills
13. Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
14. Ability to work within a busy environment
15. Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

As a Senior Nurse you will lead a multi-disciplinary teamto deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions. You will undertake medication rounds,dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assesspatients, and undertake reception screening.
