Shifts: Tuesday to Friday Night Shift (7pm to 7am)

Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Vehicle Technician, your primary responsibility will be to perform maintenance and repair services on a variety of commercial vehicles and trailers. This includes:
9. Diagnosing and Repairing Faults: Accurately identify issues with commercial vehicles and ensure that repairs are carried out effectively, meeting the highest standards of reliability and functionality.
10. Vehicle Testing: Conduct thorough tests on vehicles post-repair to ensure that they are road-worthy and compliant with all safety standards.
11. Maintenance Work: Execute preventative maintenance routines to significantly reduce the likelihood of unplanned downtime and costly repairs for our customers.
12. Documentation: Manage all necessary paperwork associated with warranty, contracts, and retail work meticulously, ensuring all service records are accurate and up-to-date.
13. Ad hoc Duties: Perform any additional tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor, which may include attending manufacturer training sessions or supporting fellow technicians.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
14. Must possess a City & Guilds certificate or equivalent NVQ Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
15. Demonstrable experience in the diagnosis, maintenance, servicing, and repair of vehicles, with a specific focus on commercial vehicles.
16. Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and diagnostic tools.
17. Previous attendance of manufacturers’ training courses is highly advantageous.
18. A full, current UK driving licence is required. Possession of an HGV licence, although not mandatory, would be beneficial.
19. Looking for a team player with a methodical approach to problem-solving, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle pressure.
20. Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor is crucial.
