Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long-term career progression. Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Air Source Heat Pump Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.
We are looking for an Air Source Heat Pump Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same. As the Air Source Heat Pump Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services. The Air Source Heat Pump Engineer will be responsible for:
1. Implementing planned and reactive maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems.
2. Ensuring compliance with safety policies, procedures, codes of practice, and statutory regulations, including the Permit to Work Systems.
3. As a trainer and mentor to prisoner working groups, completing Planned Preventive Maintenance and Helpdesk tasks, maintaining SHE standards.
4. Liaising with engineers and subcontractors, proactively addressing client concerns and relaying them to management as needed.
5. Developing a detailed understanding of site engineering services and contractual requirements.
6. Enforcing business risk management procedures, and participating in duty standby/call-out rosters and emergency response teams.
7. Supporting best working practices by completing work-related documentation accurately and on time, troubleshooting site issues, and recommending remedial actions.
8. Coordinating connections to existing plant/systems and maintaining O&M Manuals and quality procedures.
9. Availability for scheduled and unplanned weekend work is required.
10. Supporting FM Team Leaders in achieving site objectives.
To be successful for this Air Source Heat Pump Engineer role you must have:
1. Basic to intermediate IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with some experience in updating central data systems.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. IOSH or equivalent certification and qualifications in HVAC, C&G/BTEC Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Engineering Parts 1, 2, and 3, as well as a C&G 2079 F Gas or equivalent certification.
4. An apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
