It is a unique cross-government collaboration that will unlock simpler, better, and more joined up working by bringing together the systems, processes, and ways of working for key government functions such as HR, Finance or Procurement, commonly known as Shared Services. The Programme is part of the Shared Services Team, a fantastic team passionate about improving the existing shared services experience for DSIT and its partners whilst working to deliver the strategic objectives of the new Government Shared Services Strategy We will deliver the Government's three overarching objectives for shared services: 1. Better experience for all users - intuitive systems that are easy to use and mobile-enabled. 2. Person specification Key responsibilities The two Business Architect roles will form part of the Service Design team in the Service Implementation pillar of the Matrix Programme. These roles are pivotal to ensuring the service designs and implementation plans are achievable and realistic, bringing expert advice on business architecture and change management. They will report to the Head of Service Design and work across multiple internal and external stakeholders, using strong interpersonal and analytical skills to keep the pace and direction of the programme on track. Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: Utilise architecture artefacts including principles to guide solution-driven decisions for the programme. Take responsibility in the design and implementation of end-to-end architecture, ensuring business requirements and outcomes follow strategies. Support the service design and wider technology and change pillars on matrix deliverables. Coordinate solution architecture implementation and modification activities. Take responsibility for identifying the organisational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures or culture) and financial impact of the Target Operating Model. Be responsible for the creation of solution architecture design work. Analyse enterprise business drivers to determine corresponding architectural change requirements.
