Casual Coach – Pre-Academy

The Role:
Manchester United is looking for a passionate and dedicated Casual Coach to join our Pre-Academy, helping to nurture and develop young talent at the earliest stages of their journey.
As a Casual Coach, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality sessions to our Pre-Academy players (U5-U8), ensuring they develop technically and physically in a fun, engaging environment. There will also be opportunities to work within the Foundation Phase (U9-U12) and the Emerging Talent Centre as part of our Boys' Academy pathway.
Key Responsibilities:
* To deliver engaging, age-appropriate coaching sessions in line with Manchester United’s philosophy.
* To create a positive and inspiring environment that encourages learning and enjoyment.
* Support the holistic development of young players, focusing on technical, tactical, and personal growth.
* Work collaboratively with Academy staff to identify and nurture emerging talent.
* Provide feedback to players and parents to support their development journey.
The Person:
* UEFA B license coaching qualification or working towards it.
* Experience working with young players, ideally within a Pre-Academy or foundation phase professional club environment.
* A passion for developing young children and a commitment to long-term player development.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Good knowledge of the local area and challenges within that.
* Knowledge of child development with reference to the age of the children in the programme.
* Recruitment experience and understanding.
* Experience of working in an elite football environment.
* An understanding of Manchester United’s playing and coaching philosophy.
* Full driving license.
* Flexibility with their working pattern.
