Production Engineer
Location: Sileby
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm
About the Role
Engineering @ 365 is working with a leading manufacturing company seeking a Production Engineer to drive process improvements, equipment optimisation, and manufacturing efficiency at their site north of Leicester City Centre. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a passion for continuous improvement, quality control, and lean manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process Optimisation: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
2. Technical Leadership: Lead root cause analysis activities to address technical, quality, and safety concerns.
3. Equipment & Systems Improvement: Identify and implement equipment upgrades and new processes to enhance productivity and cost efficiency.
4. Standardisation & Training: Develop operator training programmes, process flow charts, and standard work procedures.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with Shift Leaders, Technicians, and Operators to improve knowledge and performance.
6. Cost & Capacity Enhancement: Drive initiatives to increase manufacturing capacity and reduce costs through strategic process improvements.
Requirements
1. Engineering degree (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field) with 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
2. Strong engineering background with expertise in process control and optimisation.
3. Lean Manufacturing experience, including 5 WHY, Root Cause Analysis, and TPM.
4. Desirable: Six Sigma knowledge and experience implementing process improvement methodologies.
5. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and collaboration skills.
