At our veterinary clinic, we provide comprehensive pet care services. We are seeking a bright and bubbly Veterinary Receptionist. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. You will be responsible for greeting clients, scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and providing general information about our services such as our Health Care Plan. You will be the first point of call for our clients, providing support and compassion.
About you
We are looking for a dedicated, professional team member, who shows a real passion and positive attitude in every duty they perform. Candidates must have demonstrable reception experience, and experience in a veterinary or other practice environment would be ideal. This candidate needs to be highly self-motivated with good customer service skills.
About the role:
* Greeting clients and their pets with a friendly and professional manner
* Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment calendar
* Answering phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients
* Collecting and updating client information in the database
* Medication handling
* Admin including scanning and organizing paperwork
* Processing payments & debt management
* Cleaning
Desired skills and experience:
* Previous experience in a reception role is required
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Passion for working with animals and their owners
* Able to work well within a team and independently
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
* Knowledge of basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
Shift pattern
The role involves working up to 30 hours per week including 11am – 4pm every Saturday and 11am – 3pm every Sunday. Rotas will be produced at least 8 weeks in advance. There may be potential for extra hours to cover holidays and sickness. This is a permanent position.
