About the role:
As a Business Development Executive for our Commercial Insurance products, you will play a key role in driving our continued expansion into the Commercial Market, where we have a strong reputation locally for providing insurance services to our client base. This incorporates the farming, retail, motor trade and many other sectors. We also provide Financial Planning services.
Your duties and responsibilities will be:
1. Actively prospect and sell to target commercial clients, building long-term trusting relationships with key decision makers.
2. Cross-sell the full range of NFU Mutual products, including financial services, risk management services and our range of motor insurances.
3. Manage your own sales pipeline using our Customer Relationship Management tool.
4. Undertake face-to-face/telephone reviews of existing clients to secure renewal.
5. Handle day-to-day enquiries, preparation, and negotiating of renewals.
About you
We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
1. Two years' experience in a B2B development role - essential
2. Experience in a regulated B2B role - desirable
3. Proven track record of prospecting, generating, and converting leads to business.
4. Excellent communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence decision makers at all levels of a business.
5. Good organisational skills - able to proactively manage a prospects/client pipeline.
6. Can demonstrate the drive, energy and enthusiasm required to provide a fantastic customer experience to existing and prospective clients.
7. A confident individual who can work well within a team environment but can also focus on their own and team targets.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Educated to degree level - desirable.
2. Professional Financial Services qualification - desirable.
3. Maths and English GCSE Grade 4-9 (or equivalent). Please clearly state all individual qualifications on your application - essential.
4. CRM in particular MS Dynamics or Salesforce.
5. Full driving licence required - essential.
