Job responsibilities
We are looking for an outstanding Housekeeping Supervisor with a passion for making a difference to others. You'll be working full time 37.5 hours a week at Cygnet Hospital Wyke, helping maintain a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care.
Cygnet Hospital Wyke provides a comprehensive pathway of acute admissions services for men. Our team works closely and collaboratively with service users, their families, and the referrer to provide a seamless pathway from referral to discharge.
Our acute service works to assess and manage risk factors, allowing us as a hospital to work successfully and robustly with individuals posing a higher level of complexity and challenge and who present a risk to themselves and others.
* Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Hospital. Maintain and demonstrate a positive attitude towards clients, staff, and others.
* Prioritise work.
* Demonstrate non-discriminatory practice in all aspects of work.
* Involvement in creating and maintaining cleaning regimes - daily, weekly, periodically etc. for the Hospital (excluding kitchen for which Chef has responsibility).
* Support the development of the process, practices, and delivery of My Path.
* Supervise and guide the domestic staff team, ensuring all areas of the hospital are cleaned on a daily basis.
* Ensure that equipment is clean and well maintained.
* Complete monthly stock sheets.
* Liaise with the Hospital Manager/supplier when ordering cleaning products, report on their effectiveness, undertake monthly stock checks, and ensure safe storage.

You are:
* Experienced in cleaning, housekeeping or domestic work
* Previous managerial experience
* Knowledgeable of COSHH (desirable)
* Friendly, conscientious & have a positive attitude
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
