Job Title: Material Handler Annul salary between £30,000 and £32,784 per annum plus £9300 annual shift allowance. This role involves 12 hour day and night shift including weekends on a 5 week rotational basis. Our client, a global manufacturing organisation, is seeking a skilled Material Handler to join their team in Barry. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in supporting the supply chain by managing inventory accurately in the warehouse. Responsibilities: Prepare materials for outbound shipment and receive raw materials and intermediates. Record all transactions using computerised systems such as SAP & ADC. Operate reach trucks and counterbalance forklift trucks for material movement. Train on-site shunt vehicle to move trailers. Duties include: Complete operational duties, aiming to meet or exceed performance targets. Load goods in and out, checking for damage or missing items. Update stock records and maintain up-to-date paperwork. Work within a team to ensure timely despatch. Perform key tasks and compliance checks. Receive, locate, and book in packaged raw materials and intermediates. Transfer materials to production plants as required. Prepare outbound deliveries for shipment. Receive, book in, and supply packaging items. Carry out housekeeping activities and safety checks. Conduct physical stock checks as needed. Skills and Experience: Previous warehouse experience. Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules. Proficiency in reading and understanding directions/instructions. Accurate counting and record-keeping skills. Ability to perform physical tasks in line with health and safety regulations. PC literacy. Requirements/Qualifications: Previous warehouse management/material handling experience. Experience operating reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts. Knowledge of chemical handling and EHS procedures preferred. Familiarity with computerised systems such as SAP and ADC. Valid reach truck and counterbalance licence. Experience with MRP/ERP systems like SAP. Working Conditions: This role involves both indoor and outdoor work.
