We are looking for a Business Analyst (Retirement Domain)
While there are some requirements around the Retirement Domain in particular, we are interested in candidates who are diligent, detailed, and able to drive to clear requirements. This would include organising requirement gathering sessions, and very clearly articulating these requirements following the BDD (Business Driven Development) format.
Interview details:
This will be a two-stage interview process.
Location is Edinburgh (Hybrid 2-3 Times a week in the office)
Primary Skills:
* Hands-on experience in capturing and translating business and compliance requirements into technical specifications
* Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and project management tools like Jira and Confluence
* Expertise in Business-Driven Development (BDD) approach to ensure requirements meet regulatory standards
* Strong communication skills for coordinating between stakeholders, regulatory experts, and technical teams
* In-depth knowledge of UK and EU retirement regulations (e.g., pensions, workplace pensions, defined contribution/defined benefit schemes, IRAs, and personal pensions)
* Strong understanding of UK regulatory bodies (e.g., The Pensions Regulator (TPR), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)) and EU regulations (e.g., IORP II, GDPR compliance)
Additional Skills:
* Ability to develop process flows, user stories, and detailed system specifications based on regulatory need
* Ability to translate wireframes or high-level requirements into detailed technical user stories
* Proven mentality of continuous improvement of the requirements gathering process, and the collaboration between Synechron and client
Nice to haves:
* Knowledge of UK retirement products such as SIPPs (Self-Invested Personal Pensions), and EU cross-border pension schemes
* Familiarity with UK and EU financial services regulations including MiFID II, PRIIPs, and Solvency II
* Experience with compliance reporting requirements and ensuring data privacy in line with GDPR
Technology:
* Jira and Confluence for managing Agile documentation and compliance requirements
* Familiarity with BDD tools (e.g., Cucumber) to define clear and regulatory-compliant acceptance criteria
* Understanding of GDPR and its impact on system design and data handling in cloud environments
